im making a cannon that can shoot coke cans but im not sure of what size of barrel i need does anyone know?

Measure a coke can and you have your answer. Most people probably wouldn't andswer that.

Should be 2.5" barrel, cola cans fit in the tubes that tennis balls come in just as snug.

I think it would be really tight in 2.5", I would suggest using 3".

3" sch 40 pvc sleeved fits very well, but its a pain to do

Try the 2.5" then go about sleeving if your'e unhappy with the 2.5" fit, and an almost airtight fit is best.
