OK I said I was going to post it so here's the ignition sytem I came up with. Built it all myself. Yes it's overly complicated but that's just me.

Hree's the externals. I've got 8 AA batteries rigged to run through there. The switch controls the LED which, when turned on, uses enough juice to prevent the system from igniting prematurely. And of course the pretty red button makes it go boom. i wanted a bigger red button but that's all Radio Crap had.

Here's the internals, basically I'm going to string a very thin wire between the gator clips which will, when current is passed through it, become quite toasty, glow orange, and pop making sparks. If all else fails I'll use Hershey wrapper. If you use the right width, the foils heats up enough to ignite the paper, which I'm sure will ignite fuel. The wires run n through two holes that I drilled, then sealed with epoxy. The wire strung between them is just to hold them steady.

thats not bad man i tried fishing with underwater bombs using a method like this

I was hoping for some more input on this thing. Does anyone have any experience with chamber-shorts?

I have made a chamber short, but not anything liek that thing. GO to burntlatke.com

Would we be able to see a circuit schematic for this maybe?? (I mean the part that generates the spark)

Yea, I'm at work right now but when I get a chance at home I'll sketch one up and post it. It may be a little messy though. I didnt really use any plans. I just went to Radio Shack and looked around, kinda figured it out as I went along. But yea I'll post it.

OK so I decided that instead of drawing it I'd just take a picture and label. The two 1/4" mono jacks are for the battery pack and the wires which I have hooked up to 1/4" mono plugs. The battery pack plugs into the left jack and the wiring on the right. the polarity doesnt matter at all so long as you have it flowing right through the LED as most LED's will only allow current to flow one direction.

hmm maybe we have a different idea of a chamber short.

Well what that is is the box for routing the electricity. What I'm doing is stringing a wire between the alligator clips inside the barrel and shorting it out with too much current for it to handle.
