This is a cannon that I designed for my school to fire t shirts into the crowd at football games. It is powered by a 20oz Co2 tank for paintball guns that I adapted into a large C02 tank regulator (inside the resivior) that was originally used for a soft drink system.it is not quite finished yet but will be in a week or so.
Im going to paint it school colors and probably fill in the seams with some bondo Ultimately I would like to make a catridge system and sell it as a paint ball tank gun. any suggestions?

It sounds pretty cool but you need a bigger picture. what stops all the co2 from leaving the 20 oz tank? Is that sprinkler valve?

Nice. I don't know about filling the seams with bondo. I think it could like crack and fall off, or get loose. But I have no experience with bondo so what do I know. Hope it works good!

By the way where did you get the regulator, and how much did it cost? I haven't yet seen a regulator for 20 oz paintball tanks that was meant for soft drinks.

well, they have regulators that are used for kegs, so maybe its something like that.

Gort told me that the keg regulators wont work for 20oz paint ball tanks, so I'm really curious about a regulator like that. I want a keg regulator because they're cheaper than the $50 to $80 regulators. Theres one called a "Rock" and then a Rock thats small and cheaper than a regular rock.

the regulator is one for larger Co2 tanks that had 1/8 inch inlets (once the other fitings were removed) I just adapted that to the paintball tank using a paintball refill kit.($20 at paintball store)

If you are going to use it to sell for paintball here are some ?'s.

1. How heavy is it?
2. How long is it?
3. How many shots per tank?
4. How much would it cost to buy (parts to build and buy from you)?
5. How quickly can you get 2 shots off?
6. How comfortable is it to carry?
7. What size is the barrel?
8. How far will it shoot: 20+ paintballs, foam finned football, 7oz paintball grenade?
9. Does it require a special kind of packing to fire?

To answer your question,
about 12 pounds
4 feet
+-40 shots
together about $180 parts$100
once bolt is finished about 8-12 seconds (i have a similar gun with this bolt design)
It will have a strap soon but i may add some padding to improve comfort
the barrel is two inch but can be changed to 2.5
I will have to get some more testing in but now at 80psi it will shoot a t shirt about 250
their is no packing for the nerfball or t shirt, special cartridges are used for the paintballs


The fill station is part of the gun used to attach the Co2 tank to the regulator

whoa there dont use a "rock" regulator... thats specially for paintball.. it makes low pressure to even lower pressure...

use a plamers female regulator... low pressure and a low pressure guage
