Man, all this makes me glad I don't have a tower anymore. My current computer which I won't mention becuase I don't want my comment deleted is whisper quiet, I can't even heard the fans. :) Maybe I could if I put my ear to the back of it, but apart from that...

Those parent your specs... Those are the features of the latest version of CPUZ. You listed at least 4 different CPUs there.... lol.

Download CPUZ. Run it. Go to the About tab. Click Registers Rump (.txt). This will give you a .txt file. Copy and paste it to this thread.

Peace,
Pete Zaria.

Or just Right Click 'My Computer', then 'Properties'. It should bring up your specs, e.g:

Processor: AMD 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ 2.5ghz
RAM: 894mb

etc

Those are some of my specs, note the 894MB ram is because i've got on-board memory till I get paid soon, so I can get a Nvidia 8600GT and run 2x1gb kingston ram modules in sync.

Flinggggggggggg, whats that sound you ask, it's all this computer talk going over my head! I got my Gateway SE 500, i've lost 1 hard drive, 1 line modem, still works good for being 7 years old. I only have the stock fans. My question is -- How are you guys hooking up extra fans? Are you guys splicing into the wire harnesses? and if so. How do you know witch one to splice into?

You get a Y cable molex connector. Or you could splice them, if you want.

As of last friday I had built a fan wall as suggested and only overcolocked my computer slightly. Despite warnings of various people my computer is now in safe mode because the temp was too high and was close to just melting down.

Im on the library's computer now so hope yous all had fun and sorry for not listening

Seriously. Just buy a faster CPU. It's cheap, especially if you ebay your old hardware.
