I remember jack once sayinng "if you really want to get complicated you can have a forward ejecting bolt" I recently saw a complicated double tilting bolt with forward ejection then I realized that since spudgun cartridges are the same size as the barrel it could be much simpler

I think I'm going to make somthing similar only its with a barrel sliding bolt and cartirdges eject backwards at a decent speed matained by the fill of the chammber cause I love how those howitzers recoil like mad then eject smoothly, should I start a new thread to disscus my specific gun ideas

when the cartrige is fired, the huge black thing slides back and allows the the jacket to eject.

Is the black component driven back by the cartridge or by a separate piston? In the former case, as it is, it would jam...

I have made a gun that works kinda like the second pic but is a lot simpler. I wanted to get the firing system working in semi auto before i posted it, the loading and ejecting works.
You guys are getting too close to my design so i better post it now before some one beats me to it :(. I will try to get pics up in the next week or so.
