shock pumps
Can someone tell me what is the strongest shock pump there is? what i mean is what's the largest "psi number" there is on a shock pump? the strongest i've seen is 400psi.At first i thought shock pumps are for pumping air into the tires of mountain bikes but i found out that it's for pumping air into the shock of mountain bikes.

I have only seen them up to 400 psi also.

I have only ever seen 400psi ones. I don't think any mountain bike shocks would ever need to go that high so i doubt there would be anything above 400.

Well, I have a 400PSI Shock Pump.
I know you can get a pump that can reach over 1000PSI but costs over $170. I saw it on the net a while back. I believe it was for air rifles or something, but I don't know of any air rifles that need manual pumping.
I don't however think that many cannons can take/need 400PSI at all. I have built a copper ball-valve pistol and have taken it to 400PSI once. I didn't feel safe, even though I know copper can go over 500PSI but it still felt sketchy. The performance wasn't too far superior over 260PSI and it took too long to pump, about 5 or so minutes of continuous pumping isn't fun.

are there a many many many air rifles that need manual pumping.
ANyway, i am getting a shock pump maybe tomorrow as i am making a pump up airgun so im a little naive when it comes to these so
Can you attach these to a tubeless tire valve? i.e. a schrader of soughts.

you could buy one of those although im not sure if you could atatch it to a schrader.

Air rifle pumps do scuba tank pressure ~3500psi
You can get all sorts of adapter things for the pumps but I don't know just how useful it would be to manually pump a chamber that high.
Shocks are annoyingly not available in a floor pump design so it looks a bit knackering to pump up a decent chamber with one.
The highest pressure floor pumps (that aren't air rifle ones) I've seen do 260psi and attach to schraders and prestas.

Before you buy it you should check if it is a shrader or presta valve. I think presta valves are more common in high pressure things.

Yeah, usually its presta for cycling stuff and presta is better! I only use presta (aka kenda) valves because I road bike and so I use them when my tubes blow. Are you guys talking about the little pumps to pressureize the oils and air in suspension? I didnt know you could use it!
really good quote/phrase here

I have no idea if you can use the air rifle pumps ons presta/Scharder valves, but if anyone is/was wondering, chock pumps are fine with scharder as they have threads that fit scharder perfectly
hey guys, I found out about this shock pump from jackssmirkingrevenge,I read a thread of his, he said he uses a shock pump on one of his spud guns to pump air up to...., i think it was 350psi.he said the pump comes with a threaded (can't remember) that you can use it on a schrader valve but he said make sure to use a pressure rated fittings otherwise booom!!
Thats why i wanna know whats the strongest shock pump out there so i can buy one. thanks!!

Mine has a gauge graduated to 300 psi but I regularly take it to 400+, it's a matter of how hard you're willing to pump
This is the model I have, had it for years and still going strong
cheap and the only maintenance it will need is occasionally changing the o-rings in the piston itself as well as the part which connects to the schrader.
All shock pumps should be compatible with schrader valves but again, before attempting to use such high pressures, make sure ALL your fittings can take the pressure - your launcher is only as strong as your weakest fitting.
