okay. i have a dress press but have no idea how you mounted that endcap on it to make it spin. any tips?

Well first I took a 1" threaded plug and drilled a hole in the center. I then put a bolt though the hole and bolted it down. I took the 2" -1" threaded bushing and threaded the 1" plug into it and then stuck the bolt in my drill press.
After that all I did was turn on my drill press and cut the grooves with a razor blade and smoothed everything with sand paper.

If you're still having trouble I might hurry up on making a how to for this valve.

i think i can figure it out. but a how to with pictures would be much appreciated, not just by me. but for alot of people on this site. so if you do make one, let me know on the link

Alright I'll do that. I'm actually leaning more towards a video then just straight up pictures, but we'll see, I gotta finish a quarter shrinker and a massed produced piston valve for a kids camp first.

i went to menards today to get parts, but they didnt have pressure rated 3 inch tees. i was pissed.

nice cannon but if i were you i would find either a pieace of pipe to fit in between the barrel and the chamber for support or if you have a dremel or a sawsall cut a pieace of wood to fit inbetween to suipport...just sayin :)

I've built a canon similar to that. Yours looks pretty sick and well put together! You should put a support at the end of the barrel and air tank for stability.
