A 300ml (.3 ltr) chamber needs only 4 drops of M.E.K. for optimal performance, it evaporates very quick(10 secs max) As for what an organic thinner is it means that if you immersed yourself into a bath of the stuff you would melt, dissolve, dissapear- your flesh and fat would anyway.

Veginator- i will try and post some pics of my ignition lance later on in the day.

You can weld Stainless with a variety of different methods, T.I.G. would be the best and the sexiest, although M.I.G. would work well also.
If you were keen as mustard you could even silver solder or braze it.
Any good metal shop would be able to Tig it for you although they may want to charge the earth for their services.
I'll post those pics later for ya too. Peace

Hey Chaos, sorry to "question" your skills!
I'll be migging mine because thats what i've to use. I started making my propane meter today and it's nearly there, one question- what pressure guage ya reckon i use on the meter, one to 100psi?
Just found out what pressure i will need- 87psi.

Thanx for the tutorial Chaos, i'm at work now so i'll try that when i get home, i made an all clear Acrylic mini yesterday it looks sweet and goes ok (shoots a rolly smoke about 30 feet) Chamber size is only 22ml and it has a 6mm Acrylic barrel (400mm long) fires every time! I'm working on a bigger version now (350ml) With a 22mm barrel (550mm long) If i can stop being a retard and get those damn pictures on i will post pics of them. Thanx again for you help.
Peace
Scotty

I concur. MEK is some nasty shit. In my humble opinion, you'd be better off if you used propane (or butane, considering you live in oz). The mix is far more controllable, and much more well understood than MEK.

I know I will be yelled at for saying this, so whatever, have you guys thought about using Acetylyne?

I won't use acetylene because it's filthy and i would get soot all over my precious guns, Oh yeah that and i want to live to see my two sons grow up!
I have been considering using Oxygen and Propane, if you increased the Oxygen level to 63% and tripled the Propane level you would end up with more than three times the grunt, Nitrogen in the air slows down combustion (i'm not sure by how much) So you would get a rather large pressure spike increase (anyone got any thoeries on this?).
Then you could increase the pressure say 2x and get a resulting boom that should be in the order of Six times as powerful as a normal Combustion. (If you think i'm wrong please let me know- i'm not the smartest tool in the shed!)
Has anyone tried to increase the amount of Oxygen before?, if so what were the results.

I know Oxydizers are not really smiled upon however i will be using a fully Pressure Tested, S/S x Polyurethane chamber (If it cant hold 1000 P.S.I then i will not be using it, i'll also install a blow off valve somewhere in the order of 300 P.S.I.)

Peace
scotty
