i bought an seamless stainless steel tub with OD of 10mm and ID of 8mm,
that tube will serve me in my project , rifling it.
tried to fit 7.9mm rod(the cutter) in the tube and he fit exactly and not stuck, week after i did the same test but the same rod wont fit ,the tube and the rod was in place that is impossible to drop or get hit.

any thoughts ?

It will make cause the tube to expand, enabling the rod to fit in.
When it cools down the rod may get stuck however.
