I imagine the ram would use less air than a vortex, if you can get the rof up to the same as a vortex, then it will be shooting the same amount, but there will be the split seconds when the ram is back, that the air flow will be cut off, it wouldn't seem like much difference over a few shots, but if you were shooting the same amount of bbs as a vortex, then those times where the air flow is cut off will soon add up and amount to several seconds more firing from the same amount of air.
