I'm a bit scared by the power of it, so i've put it away for a bit.

haha i find that pretty funny actually.

Congratulations! You now have a working piston valve that will destroy everything. (At least the name fits :roll: )

Piston valves are designed to let out a lot of air at one time. So they will have more power than almost any other valve. If you didn't realise this when you were making it, they why bother?

Ha! Well now you know. Here is a simple equation to put it in perspective...

Large (moderately large) piston valve + heavy ammo = lots of destruction.

If you don't want to blow somebody's head off, but still shoot stuff, try making a smaller valve. A 3/4 inch endcap fits nicely in 1 1/4 inch pipe (*hint hint*)

On a brighter note, you valve is pretty nice. Are you still going to sell them? Oh and great shot with the pot. It will never again see soil...

Yes I will sell them, and I will probably make different sizes too. I also have plans for a Megah-valve clone for those power junkies. :D

I won't. I'll just stick to pots for now. :D

On a slightly more professional note, how much would you be willing to pay for one of these? Say $60? Thats alot cheaper than a Mauler or Supah. :shock:

True, it is cheaper, but i don't think it is enough to win.

Your valve has 1.5 inch portings inside a 2 inch T right? well that is equivalent to the Shredder valve which costs $75. So a $15 dollar difference is fine, but not really enough to say it is really worth it.

you have to remember that most people aren't going to have heard of you, or your valve, so getting customers may be harder. Then again, you are in Europe right? so who knows.

Would you mind me asking how much money and time it takes to make?

Oh and by the way, im talking in USD.

Been thanked: 8 times

that terracotta pot isn't too good of a justification for power, they break if you look at them wrong lol.

Good fabrication tho, it looks pretty clean.

Selling anything in this "hobby" is a dangerous gamble if it somehow manages to find a way to "blow up" on the buyer, then your held liable.

I think it's so unlikely to explode, it's not worth worrying about.
Do not subject to extreme temperatures;
do not overpressurize;
do not store in sulight.

I've never seen a valve made from rated parts even crack when those guidelines are followed. (I don't think I've ever seen on break, bar recoil damage)

Especially if they're sold as valves not cannons, and you're even safer if you're selling to someone who appreciates the power of these cannons.
Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety. -Benjamin Franklin
