i all,

I found these in bunnings and bought a few, thinking they would be awesome pistons, I have yet to use them. Any thoughts? (this may be a bone question but I'm really new to making pistons  )

you forgot the "H" in hi and capitalised the "P" in Spuddin'. Shame on you .
Back on topic, I think this could pontentially work, however, the only problem I see is that they are designed to contain water and may not be perfectly air tight. I would go ahead and test it anyway, action beats words as they say.

it would work if you found a tube that fits them exactly - also, it's too thin to support itself, you'd have to add another disk to the stem or wrap tape around it, or attach two of them back to back.

Oh yeah i already realised that they would need another disk/stem to support them.

And i should be able to test this weekend.

Thanks.
