which is better piston valve or diaphragm valve?

which makes a more powerfull cannon a piston valve or diaphram valve?

depends on the gun

diaphram valves open fast, but have low flow, so i am guessing it is good for small guns

piston valves open fast too, but slower than a diaphram valve, but have very good flow, so good for big guns
