Well I almost thought I snagged a top deal. I went to Bunnings and saw 1m lengths of 20mm and 25mm Aluminium pipe for 5 bucks each. I almost wet myself at the thought that I could build my piston marble blaster for next to nothing... So I went over and checked it with some fittings and to my horror, neither pipe fitted any brass compression or tube fittings... I was devestated...

Has anyone thought of using aluminium pipe but come across this same problem?

Epoxy, just mod a slightly larger brass/glav fitting and epoxy it in.

Buy one and take it to a plumber or machinist. Ask them to put pipe threads on it (or whatever threads you want). If they have the proper threading die it's a matter of a few minutes to complete.

Invest in a pipe flaring set and a pipe bender. When you get that you can do pretty much anything with pipe stock.

Yeah that would be great. The only problem is the lack of funds...

I was put on this earth by the gods of two part adhesives to spread the epoxy gospel, it's always nice to see the word spreading :D
