Hey all i just have a question regarding the pressure differential in the different compartments of a solenoid valve (I'm experimenting with a new handgun and i'm investigating different valve types).

This is the current valve setup on my cannon (below)

What i want to know is... is the pressure in the red area the same as the blue area (ie does the air that bleeds above the diaphragm have the same pressure as the chamber air/air in the valve below the diaphragm)

Cheers

Not sure if you know, but your drawing is a little off. Check the references for better diagrams.

While filling the pressure in the red region will be slightly less then the blue region. However I can't imagine it being more then 3 or so PSI. Then once you have finished pressurizing the chamber the two regions pressure will balance out.
