Sprinkler Valve Question

If I got this sprinkler valve, where would I put the blow gun?

Well first of all, you need to start searching more because you have posted 2 topics that can be easily answered.

It would go right were that big black thing that has the cross on top, take that off, put the blowgun in.

On other websites like Orbit or Rainbird, they said something about anti-siphon...I'm not quite sure what is means...this sprinkler valve seems useful for an over under so you don't have to buy two elbows...

With the sprinkler angled like that, wouldn't it cause a lot of air constriction or are the insides open like a pipe, except for the diaphragm part of course.

Anti-siphon valves have a small flapper valve that lets air in to the downstream side of the valve if it's not under pressure. This prevents back flow due to siphon effects in sprinkler systems.

It also makes the valves very bad choices for spud gunning as a fair amount of air will leak out of the anti-siphon valve before it seals.

I'm saying performance will be crap compared to a normal (NOT an anti-siphon) sprinkler valve. It won't be unsafe or anything, it'll just suck ass.
