Ive only taken my air canon up to 100 psi ever since i got my sprinkler valve.I know that my air chamber can take way more since i use to use about 220 psi with my ball valve.so what im trying to ask is could i increase the psi to about 140 or will this cause the sprinkler valve to break?
Thank you

Its very possible, but I've seen people take them to 150 before. But some friendly advice is, If you do take it over, do it in strides to try to insure that it won't blow up, even thought all it would do is release the air, you'll have to start over. And money don't grow on trees, unless you're a money farmer...

I'm pretty sure the diaphragm would just break, releasing the air without an explosion that could shoot shrapnel. But I have never use a sprinkler valve over the given pressure rating, PM a more experienced member.

You should be fine taking it up to 140. Also sprinkler valves are rated for 150 psi. When sprinkler valves brake I am almost positive that they just hiss and t=let the air out.

Most are rated for 125, but can be taken to 150. You shouldn't have a problem but like Spuds said do it in increments, work to 110 then 125 then 140.

I take my 3/4" orbit that is modified with a blowgun past the 80 PSI rating, so far i have taken it to 100 psi with no problems.

See my reply in those threads. Please search the forum before posting a topic. If you fail to do so the topic will be locked/deleted and you could face a temp-ban if you continue making topics without searching.

Also make your topic title more descriptive next time. 'Sprinkler Valve' tells me nothing. Try 'Pressure rating of a Sprinkler Valve' or 'Can I take a sprinkler valve above it's rating?'.
