new idea for great paintball landmine

If you had a modded sprinkler valve with a pull ring quick release, put it together say 1 inch pvc pipe have a open pipe facing out and a small pvc air tank would it be good for trip mine?
Maybe put paint in the open tube tie fishing line to the pull ring and a tree,fence post etc. then fill the air tank and bury it sub surface. they trip it releases the sprinkler valve lets out air and squirts you with paint think it will work?
