Sweet find - cylinders and piston

Was dropping off a pressure washer for repair today and asked the guy if he had any old parts that weren't any good to him but I might find useful.

Came away with three cylinders and one piston from paint sprayers. I think with a bit of a polish they'll be good to go. Oh and all have a 3,000 psi working pressure 8).

Just had to share my find . So, besides all the ideas floating around my head, any suggestions? Inside diameters are 1", 7/8", 7/8" from the left.

How long is the nozzle part (small diameter)?

Does the piston fit any of them?
I got to go to a repair shop, looks like some cool junk!

Maybe you could cast something for them to fit inside similar to some engine blocks.

Or put them in a treasure box of junk. And leave them there for like ten+ years. (I do that sometimes)...
Against the rules to shoot them at "people or living things", but you could throw them at someone...probably not a good idea...

They'd probably make good drill bushings for drilling holes in stuff or bushings for axles. 8)

It's not the nozzle it's the piston rod..if we're talking about the same part. But it's about 8" long. Here's a diagram. It's hollow on the end so the fluid flows around the rod.

I'm thinking high pressure small caliber coax... but I would need plugs. Maybe washers with cross screws to take the force.

Maybe I should also finish one project at a time. Too many ideas. Brain..won't..shut down .

Edit: The piston fits the 1" cylinder, but it uses v packings not o-rings, and they're gone and he said they would be too pricey to replace for a hobby.

I saw a $10 grease gun that states a working pressure to 3200PSI and started wondering about a hydraulic powered pressure pump.
If a rubber piece could be added to the piston that fits and a seal to build a high pressure pump(?)...the grease gun lever or a hydraulic jack could be used to pump air into HPA tanks probably.
Other than that I'd say blow-forward bolt pneumatic or hybrid parts (of course). 8)

EDIT: Just thought of a design start that would be a hydraulic floor jack.
A metal frame like" l_l" shape bracket (upside down there) could be welded to the jack sides. (a hydraulic press)
This bracket would be slightly over twice the jacks full extension length.
The pneumatic tube of the pump would mount to the top of the bracket.
The jack would press the pump rod.
But your parts are smaller so maybe a mini version(???).
