How does this cannon work?

I understand how barrel closing piston valve works, but what about this one? Can someone post a diagram? Couse I haven't been able to find any info on this =(

I think this works like any other barrel sealing gun. The hose handle replaces a blowgun. Also, it's just made of copper instead of PVC. Hope I'm not being too obvious.
