at the end of every band camp there is a massive water fight. i recently got my hands on a scuba tank holder vest, and am thinking of making some ungodly powerful supersoaker. my problem is, the camp is on another island (i live in hawaii) and i was going to use my C02 tank w/ kobalt reg to power it.
the question is, is a FULL CO2 tank allowed on plane flights, porvided it is in the luggage? i know that other low pressure stuff is, deoderant, soda etc, but what about Co2 tanks?
Thanks
airport legal question

I'm pretty sure that anything that is 'pressurized' (i.e. deo) is like illegal to transport... but if it was empty it is a different story... something about it being risky of exploding or what not.... that's for Australia I think anyway.

12g are really expensive at bike shops though... 7 dollars a bulb wasn't it?
I assume if they won't let small 12g's in oz then I don't know about where abouts in the world you come from then.

Brisbane here... in America you can get like 15 for like 5 bucks... and a co2 bike inflator for 20bucks w/ trigger... bull crap
...
Also what about you grock I think you might want to look up where you come from and research their customs on these things but for various reasons i would assume you're not allowed to.

I don't think you should bring the co2, a bike pump should work fine
No. As far as I know, any such tank going by flight has to be empty, AND with the top valve removed from the tank to confirm that.grock wrote:the question is, is a FULL CO2 tank allowed on plane flights, provided it is in the luggage?
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?
I have had it with these motherf***ing CO2 tanks on this motherf***ing plane!twizi wrote:they have a video on tanks on a plane
I'm not sure you'd be allowed to do that either. In the UK at least, there's heavy postage restrictions on posting pressurized vessels, and I imagine something similar applies in the US.ramses wrote:you could see if they have an address you could ship it to on the other island.

We aren't an airport.
Call your airport and/or flight company to be sure.
