Here is probably the most ideal, consistent and accurate projectile you could use for a smoothbore home built launcher!
You can not home build one for the price of $.65 each.
This one is for .740 inch bore. (18.796mm) to be exact.
19.00mm nominal size or .748 inch bore.

Good find, and not that expensive either, 100 for $65 isn't such a big deal (unless you've made an autocannon
) for the dedicated enthusiast.
They will probably leave the barrel of your average pneumatic at a fairly low subsonic velocity, so trajectory could be expected to be a bit howitzer-like at longer ranges, however even at say 500 fps keeping all your shots on a saucer at 50 yards should be no problem with a consistent launcher and reliable sight setup.

Ooooo!!! Those are cool. And I have a new hybrid. Looks like I need a 3/4 inch barrel.
They really aren't that expensive too...

Life's too short to mark off the items on your wish list...
JSR;
You need to try these with your HPA source!
I know, that is to big of bore for you!
If I could still build stuff, I would definitely try some.
Maybe some one else will give them a try and report their results.
Heard anything about these on Box of Truth?

My 0.75" pneumatic was already about the limit I could shoot at home at just 100 psi, I wish I could crank it up with HPA but it would be a project I could never use :-/dewey-1 wrote:You need to try these with your HPA source!

Not this particular brand but there's an interesting "rifled vs unrifled barrels for slugs" articleHeard anything about these on Box of Truth?

The optimal barrel for these would be 3/4 inch Copper Type K which is the thickwall version.
The ID is .745 inch nominal.

Maybe with a shotgun wad it'll fit the co-ax...Hmmm.
Something to think about, but they are awfully light at only 1 oz.
Thanks for the link Dewey, good find!
