Is it just me or is anybody else really annoyed at stungun manufacturers' claims as to voltage?

Take the example I've posted below: 2.8 million volts?! Well, ideally, the voltage breakdown for an air spark gap is around 25kv/inch. Therefore, according to the manufacturer, we could make a ~37" spark gap with their stungun! Horseexcrement.

Also, "self-charging charger"? What is this about?

Here's a tip for stungun buyers: the inside electrodes are the maximum gap the manufacturer is comfortable allowing the circuit to arc across. Therefore, measure this gap (or see if you can find it off the manufacturer's site if ordering online), and multiply somewhere between 25,000 and 75,000 (changes with electrode shape... if they're flat like most I've seen on default gaps, then use something closer to the higher end) to get a better example of available voltage.

37" spark gap eh? use it to arch from the front to the back of your launcher
And thanks for the tip, if i ever get around to making an advanced combustion or hybrid, i'll keep this in mind.

I hate fake claims... They're so stupid when they just say something to alot of gullable (did I spell that right?) people that don't know any better than to spend their money.
