With the arrival of cold weather once again, I am getting a new combustion launcher together. Possibly something for cold weather use. I was thinging of using 4" 16 gauge exhaust tubing for the chamber and welding a individual bend on one end for an over-under setup. Anyone ever use exhaust tubing before on a combustion? I have a bunch of the stuff laying around so thats what I thought to use.

It should work just fine. I'm not sure about the seam it may have or what not, so I wouldn't go hybrid with it without researching the tubing's capabilities. Combustion should be good to go.

The seam looks to be resistance welded as far as I can tell. I buy the heaviest wall stuff I can get because it lasts a few more winters than the thin stuff and is well suited for all the short trip drivers. Thanks for the response Moonbogg.
