yeeoooo. This is my new gun I just built, it took me about 2 or three hours last night, after a home depot run. some specs

barrel: about 2 feet of 1/2 copper piping.
chamber: all together about 3 feet of 1/2 copper piping.
main valve: 3/4 inch qev.
pilot valve: 1/2 bv
fill valve: male quick connect with 1/4 inch ball valve.

This gun is pretty fun, it is able to go all the way through 1/4 ply wood with some nail darts, with the same darts i was able to make the nail head disappear into a tree with the other side sticking out the tree. the tree was about six inches thick. I still need to polish it up, and I am thinking about adding some sights.
I am operating at around 125 psi.

nice job. It should be able to handle more pressure, assuming the solder joints are strong.

Go with open sights, anything more is okerkill, imo.

Blowgun pilot would be a good addition.

Otherwise, a nice looking effort!

Oh, you need to brace the barrel to the chamber where your right hand is in that 3rd pic, cut a block of wood or something that will fit snugly in there, and strap it into place, it will help with accuracy a bit by bracing the barrel properly.

Pilot volume is HUGE.
I would suggest using higher pressure too. Looks fun anyway.

alright... will do with the barrel brace. I know the pilot volume is enormous. I'm thinking about taking off the bv and piloting with a 1/4 qev blowgun setup.

Extend your stock farther back and put the pilot valve directly behind the QEV where you currently have a tee. You could try using a blowgun, but the flow will be less and I've never found a blowgun to be more comfortable than a ball valve anyways.

Other than that, it looks pretty good. I like how the stock is also part of the chamber to take advantage of that extra volume. The stocks on my builds just direct the pilot jet away (mostly:roll:) from my body.

Thanks. It'll take me about a week to do the pilot valve stock extension but without a doubt I'll do it.
