Grenade shells.

Ok, I have made some new burst disk grenade shells based on Davidvainis 1-1/4" shells for his 3 barrel launcher. I am having a bit of a problem though. The disks keep breaking before I even start pumping air in. I had a few successful attempts yesterday, and they made a nice bang, but these ones are not working. Should I try and sand the edges to a rounded edge so it does not cut the aluminum foil?

I would try that before anything else, if it cutting the foil, thats probably the problem

I have 10 shells, so I have 10 trys to experiment. I will try sanding down one and see what happens.

Also try twisting the couple as you slide it over the foil tape.

Thats usually what I do, except it cuts it. And its not foil tape...

well there is you problem. Foil rips way to easily, I would try the foil tape.

Ok, what would be the bursting pressure of 1 layer (just a strip of tape folded over its self)?

I think Davidvaini might of said around 70 PSI but Im not sure. I think he just stuck the sticky side to the pipe and slid the coupler over it.

Ok. Well we shall see soon. I should be going to lowes in about an hour, so yeah. When I get back, I will test it out. Also, my cloud is not inputting enough air, what should I do to increase the flow?

What is restricting the flow, if its a blowgun, you can mod it for better flow, check out MrCrowleys tutorial.

I think it may be the tubing, I will get some more parts for it and expand it a bit more. I am also going to get a 2" coupler and end cap so I can make a tennis ball burst disk mortar.... I think its gonna sound like a 50 cal round. It may not go down too well with my neighbors, but it will be super fun at 3:00AM.
