I deiced to make a pneumatic tennis ball launcher recently, and have been searching around the internet, and specifically this forum for information on how to go about it.
I have everything else sorted out, except for the valve. I have seen some people who used lathes to make them, and others that I really didn't understand. I am fairly mechanically inclined, and would appreciate any help with my project!
Thanks in advance!
Where can I find plans for a piston valve I can make?

Thanks for all the help! I followed the video on youtube, and bought the parts. Here's a question I have tho.
If I didn't have the piston valve, and I just had a ball valve, that would release the pressure when I flick my wrist. But now I'll have a piston valve with a ball valve behind it. Is this really a better system? I still view this as me flicking my wrist to release the pressure?
Also, where are these stickys? I cant see them in the pneumatic section. Thanks!!!

A piston valve is the best valve u can make for a pnematic cannon. You will need to pilot the valve with another type of valve like a qev , a 1/4 inch ball valve etc. You need to study the piston valve to know how it works. It will be alot better in the long run. Look at other members to get a better idea or check the wiki. What the p v does is dump a ton of air in a fraction of a second to your projectile its a million times faster and better than a ball valve alone. a sticky is a thread marked by a moderator with a "sticky" note in the beginning of the topic title. It also says the word "sticky" in yellow letters! good luck, again!

To find the stickies, click the forum button at the top of the page. Near the bottom of the following page is a section that is titled "How-To Database (NOT FOR HELP-ME POSTS!)" The stickies are in there, along with loads of other good information, some of which is bound to be helpful to you. The wiki is also quite helpful as well.where are these stickys?
Good luck with your cannon!
