updating this thread http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/compact ... 23695.html

i was able to make a more compact piston valve with less pieces.Piston travel is about a 1 cm and flow is good.

here are some pics

nice, how are you planning to pilot?

how did you build the sealing face on the barrel side?

i use the blow gun attachment thing i made to pilot and the sealing face is a flared nipple just threaded in. Heres one for reference http://www.heating-parts.co.uk/media/ST ... 179BC0.JPG

nice, i like the build without machined parts... since i dont have a lathe or anything other then a drill press( @ work)

the only thing i dont really get is the blowgun / airroute to vent the pilot...

it seems you are losing some minor performance there...

i would guess that one would simply let the air go trough the blowpistol in reversed direction opposite to its intended use....

i would but it leaks at about 80 psi because that isn't its original airflow direction. So i rerouted it to the bottom and it has max performance ive only taken it to 160 psi only because its the highest psi any of my devices could put out... but all seem well and fine.

ok, that`s a valid reason :P

basicly the pressure would force the valve open if used backwards...
understood :P
