Here's the bare bones, but (finally) functioning, new rifle I'm working on. 1" brass ball valve with a wicked custom compression spring that opens the valve quite fast. Now that the trigger mech works, the next stage is a stock, forestock and making 'er purty. Added a couple damage pics at 300psi and will upload finished pics and video down the road.

Very nice! Simple, but as JSR mentioned that makes it more robust.
Looks like a lead fishing sinker that he tied the streamers to. Just can't see the little brass eye you tie your line to because of the angle.Gun Freak wrote:Nice hole punch

Thanks all! The slug is an Eagle Claw brand steel egg sinker. This sized sinker fits perfectly in the 1/2" copper barrel. Added the red ribbon to find it in the grass when I was seeing how far it would travel across a soccer field
. I'm going to add a simple sliding breech load to it by cutting a hole under that short piece of copper repair coupling.

Finally made the stock and forestock for the rifle. Also etched it's name ("Peacebreaker") into the 1" steel pipe using a 9v battery, two wires, and Q-tips dipped in vinegar/salt solution. Now that it's finally getting nice out here in Wisconsin, I plan to make a YouTube video of it in action soon. It's got some nice power in 'er

interesting stock! like.
SOme people look down on the spring actuated ball valve, but while they are wondering why their piston doesn't seal today or why the buffer is disintegrated or the seal shot downrange, you can actually be shooting your ball valver!
