Drill hole in golf ball and attach with self tapping screw through the dart tube. Think they will work good? I didn't mess with center of gravity or anything. Could be fairly cheap and easy to install. Might be awesome.

It will probably work, yes. But I think it's also a lot tougher than required. Put it this way... I've had decent luck with nothing more than a 2" deck screw. Drill a small hole into the ball. Screw the deck screw in. Done. Doesn't look nearly as cool, but it works.
