Multiple sparks?

I've just got done making my first spudgun, a simple fixed barel $20 to make the whole thing variety with a lantern sparker ignition.

I've seen on a few sites people using electrical ignitions to create multiple sparks, what would the purpose of multiple sparks be?

To ignite the mixture more rapidly and to change the flame front from moving from one ned to the other to sorta have the mixtrue ignite all at once,well thats what i figured from it.

Burns, not explodes. If it explodes, you're more or less a pin-cushion, unless you used heavy gauge steel.

Rough equation: More sparks (in the right places) = more power.

This is because in igniting the mixture in two seperate places results in getting twice the amount burnt in any one instant. The increased heat and exhaust gasses will result in more pressure, meaning more force on your spud, and more acceleration.
