2 Questions...

1. How fast does a 12v compressor fill a half a gallon tank?

2. Are there any portable ones that don't have to be hooked into a car?

1. wayyyy too slow.

2.yes, look in home depot in the air compressor section.

You could just get a bike pump inflator. They go to like 60 psi and plug in to a regular outlet.
