Salt's ghetto burst disk of DOOOM

I got bored last weekend so I threw this together. It uses this metal rod I found as a barrel, and uses plastic sandwich bags for burst disks. 1 layer breaks at about 20 psi, give or take. Pop in schraeder, typical, blah blah.

It's actually pretty powerful, and surprised me by shooting acorns into my neighbor's garage.

I mainly shoot saboted acorns, they're cheaper than free in my backyard! (let the squirrels starve! mua ha ha!)
Sometimes duct tape balls, but I failed to do any significant damage on anything.

Is it bad that I looked at you gun and thought "now theres a good idea for ammo"? But seriously 20 and 24 oz bottles fit decently in 3" PVC (a little wadding helps).... but if a length of rod or pipe or something were added, the projectile would be much more stable. I may go and test this out.

Not gonna lie... i actually like the gun, due to the ability to take it apart and you just have a coke bottle, a piece of pipe and a pile of baggies. Seems like the kind of thing that could be stashed in you car or taken to skool or somthin. Also, a good step up from the pill bottle launchers.

I think it needs some... no... alot of duct tape to get the ghetto gun award.

I've never seen anybody win 2! I think your down fall on this one will be having a real shreader valve in stead of a home made one, i don't know, just a thought.
So you just wrap the baggie around the end of the barrel and stick it in the bottle?
