does anyone know what the max pressure soldered copper joints could hold? i would guess around a couple hundred PSI. im hoping to take my next cannon all the way up to 250 psi.

If your only taking it to 250 psi you should be fine, i have copper epoxy that is apperently good to over 1000 psi (though i doubt it), and i know soldered joints should hypothetically hold more.
Id say if you stay less then 300 psi you should be fine.

I've heard of people putting them up to 500 with CO2, but I don't think that's safe, and they're usually very experienced at soldering copper pipe.
Why not use steel? Stronger and cheaper, you can get way higher pressures.

hmmm, but i like the sexy look of copper
besides, that would rewuire re-designing of my gun, becuase its going to have a coppet piston valve, and then im not sure if i can go from the copper to the steel using the supplies at my hardware store.
ugh...this cannon might be out of my league, and ive never soldered copper pipe before, so im not sure if i want to put my co2 reg to the test and bring it up to 250psi.
i have untill wednesday to design and build it. i still need to figure out a design for a stock that is both easy and erganomic.
i realy want to make this cannon for 2 reasons tho, it will be my first piston cannon and ive always wanted one, and it will be quite powerfull for its size.
