New design for the B&A marble rifle

Cannons powered by pneumatic pressure (compressed gas) using a valve or other release.

Will it work?

I just finished drawing up the plans for the final B&A pneumatic marble rifle. Instead of using a 1/4 in. ball valve hooked to the chamber, I'm using a modified sprinkler valve near the barrel with a 1/4 ball valve for release. A 1/4 in elbow is tapped directly into the sprinkler valve then a 1/4 X 2 in. nipple is screwed into that, then the 1/4 in. ball valve is screwed into that. The air chamber is now 1 foot instead of 8 inches. But it is still made of 1 1/2 in. pvc though. It is still filled with a schroeder valve, but the valve is screwed into the end cap. Everything else is still 1/2 piping. ( The barrel is 3/4 though) It is now also breech loaded via 3/4 coupler. Feel free to express any questions or comments. I have gone over the design and it looks flawless, but tell me what you think.

I would suggest making the pipe from the sprinkler valve to the barrel also 3/4 inch because that will restict the flow a little to the 3/4 inch barrel. it will work the way you have it, but it will work better if you make it 3/4 inch instead of 1/2. other than that it looks good.

One thing you may want to, and that i would advise that you did, was put a piece of wood between the barreland chamber and put a hose clamp around it for support.
