Fixing PVC pipe

I read the tutorial on fixing it with the drill bit thing, but is there any other way to take it off?

I used a saw to cut it and a dremmel to take the rest of the pvc pipe away from inside the joint. it worked well just took me almost forever

If you take a saw(Japanese saw or hacksaw) and cut lines vertically inside of the pipe(make sure not to cut the fitting). cut in quarters for small pipe or eights for large pipe.Then take a pair of large pliers and twist the chunks of pipe out. The fitting is unharmed. Or just buy the drill bit thing for cutting pipe out.

I used a masonry 1.25" hole saw bit to fix 1" sockets the rough specs of metal for grinding around the hole saw made it a little bigger than 1.25" so the 1" pipe could fit, you just got to get the bit stared and avoid melting the thing. the result works but its very unclean and rough, my awesome 1.5hp router worked I just had to be careful cause it i looked away for a sec the thing could rip through the fitting and the vise holding it

that means that you did something really wrong when you glues it because i find that a really good solvent weld is as strong and sometimes stronger than the pipe its self.

I think it would only work on dwv because the sockets are less deep

Oh, it works with PVC but you gotta use a big old pair of channel locks to twist the pipe chunks out.The solvent and glue can only hold when the surface area is enough to counteract the forces exserted on it by the pliers.That is why I cut the pipe into small chunks.Less surface area=less force needed to pry it off.
