Gday guys,
After many months of dicking around, totally broke and just plain lazy, I've finally made my bb gun. This is only the first version of it.
I plan to:
take off that other end cap on the back of the bottom t, so I can place a stock.
Make the ball valve lever into a proper trigger aswell as putting on the piston grip at the end of the valve.
Mount a 300-400psi shock pump.
....and ofcourse, give it a good polish.
It's not the nicest looking gun on here but it's totally air tight, works absolutely perfectly (the first time I pumped it up, it worked like a dream) and it was pretty cheap to make.
I've only tested it at 140psi because the shock pump I bought sh!t itself but holy moly.........even at 140, it's like a bullwhip.
I really take my hat off to Jack on this one, Couldn't have got it working without his advice, not to mention of the other spudders on this site,
Cheers guys.

how did you get it to seal so good? Im currently experimenting with a small brass coaxial piston bb gun and I cant get it to seal well enough around the barrel. And the end of my barrel is like a cookie stencil and it just slices through the neoprene that is keeping it sealed.
Anyway that is a nice gun, the ball valve lever/trigger upgrade sounds like a great idea, you could build it into the stock.

Airbeds... so many different uses
Jackssmirkingrevenge gave me the idea of sealing the barrel to the chamber. Wrap a real tight roll of masking tape around where the barrel goes into the chamber so it forms a nice tight fitting plug. He suggest glue around the plug to seal against the chamber but I thought I wouldn't have to because I'm using a compression fitting....and whatcha know, it worked perfectly. For the cost it cost to make and the how well it seals, ya just can't go wrong mate.
finally she's up and running...
i also have been waiting a while to see this.
mitch, mate you just have to get a vid of this thing working.
it turned out really clean and will definitely look the part with the stock and a polish.
but yes as i said, it is a must to get some damage pics and videos of it in action.
again, nice work

This is the model I have: GS02. I suggest you get one with a gauge that reads to 400 psi as I overpumped mine so many times I've knackered the gauge, it reads 40-50 psi when empty hehe.Mitchza89 wrote:What sort of pump do you have anyway Jack?
One solution is to use a bit of rubber tubing as a seal on the barrel itself, removing the need for a seal on the piston. I use this system on my small calibre minis as well as the pneumatic cartridge prototype which is essentially a mini with a short barrel.Im currently experimenting with a small brass coaxial piston bb gun and I cant get it to seal well enough around the barrel. And the end of my barrel is like a cookie stencil and it just slices through the neoprene that is keeping it sealed
Here's what the bits look like:

Ah yeah, Thats a good looking pump. I reckon I'll get the GS-01. I'm so broke at the moment but there is a pump that I'm looking at, it goes to 400psi and it's only 15 bucks more so I reckon I'll grab it if I can.
One more question, with your pump.....are you able to push the plunger down at any speed and it will still fill up your chamber? With the pump I had, you had to ram it down really hard n fast otherwise it wouldn't pump... Or are all shock pumps like mine?
Thanks mate.

You need a bit of speed to pump, proportional to how worn your seals are - if it's too much, then it's usually only a couple of o-rings that have to be changed, no biggie
