That's pretty interesting, but it was probably on the verge of breaking. How high does your pressure setup allow you to go? The highest I can currently get up to is 500psi.

highest i can go is 800. palmer reg wont go any higher... but the only gauge i have maxes out at 200 and i broke it i put to much pressure in it now when the gauge is not hooked up to anything its at 100 psi...

How big is your CO2 tank? With capabilities like that, I would have expected to see some high pressure, high volume launchers from you. CO2 isn't exactly the best pneumatic propellant though...

400psi,wow.Well most PVC plumbing parts in the metric system have a burts pressure of 3x there running pressure so if the valve is rated to 150psi it has a burst pressure of 450psi.That is in the Metric system though using PN system.

the thing is the materials for any high pressure high volume gun is extremly expensive. but in about 2-3 months im going to be building the biggest coaxial seen yet... cant figure out what a good barrell size would be thoDYI wrote:How big is your CO2 tank? and no co2 isn't good due to the freezing temps it can create. and its just 2 20 oz co2 tanks. not good for a high volume gun

By high volume, I meant about 100ci or more. Not high volume as in SWAT gun size.

oh well i build a few guns. biggest is my gold ball gun with two chambers one chamber is an over and under for when i have an air compressor, the other smaller one is for co2 and hpa. inline, heres the golf ball gun. http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/new-gol ... t9963.html
if you want to comment on it do so in that thread not this on please.
theres a few more coaxials and another inline in the showcase to that ive built

Actually plmer regs go 700psi according to their site. I play tourny not scranros so I don't really know about palmers, but look heres the link.trae08 wrote:highest i can go is 800. palmer reg wont go any higher... but the only gauge i have maxes out at 200 and i broke it i put to much pressure in it now when the gauge is not hooked up to anything its at 100 psi...
and i just did another test up to 800 psi and then i took the sprinkler out of the steel box and i didnt have the ball valve open... =O so i dunno if i had forgot to open it on the 400 psi test or not. ill test again tomorrow to find out.

trae08: THANK YOU!!!!
This is an amazing find to pilot high pressure piston/diaphragm guns.

Well if someone wants to be safe, they could just pour water in the valve and then test it(with more cushioning like the towels trae08 mentioned above), its much slower than air.
I wouldn't trust towels alone with air or CO2 if going to 400 psi. I'm envisioning a small rag buried in an eye socket.
