Coaxial with breech-loading?

I was day-dreaming at work today about a bazooka-style launcher for paintball play, and I started thinking about a coax design just because they look the part so well. I then realized that I had never seen one built that had a true breech-loading system.

Has it been done? Yes, I did a search, but I didn't find much - closest thing I saw was PVC Arsenal's Fish Killer 2. It seems like every other design is either loaded by removing the rear cap and piston/diaphragm, or thru the muzzle.

I had an idea in mind, but I want to know if it's been attempted before.

That design is similar to the bergeles cannon, if i recall correctly, and mega_swordsman is making a bergeles cannon.

That's very nifty, indeed. But it still looks like it takes quite a bit of effort to get it loaded. I wonder if there is a simpler solution?

Has anybody been able to create a design that allows for a magazine or anything else that would allow multiple shots? I had the idea to use a T on the end of the barrel, with the top end exiting out the chamber, and I found another member on here who had the same idea before me (forgive me, I didn't see who it was). The only problem is that the magazine would have to be completely sealed, as it doesn't provide any kind of a cutoff for the rest of the ammo falling in.

Hmm... I just had another crazy idea in the works... let me see if I can get a concept drawing made. This one's pretty wild.

a ball valve with a hole drilled on the side. maybe epoxy a magazine onto it with a removable endcap.

You could make a coax with the tee to load it inside the main air chamber and if you make a paddle interrupter you could have a nice semi auto marble gun.

In response to that, it is technically done, however, I had a very large problem gluing the barrel so that it would fit. The way I did it was such that I had to quickly glue three different areas (One to the T and two others to the chamber) such that the barrel didn't extend all the way to the T and now everything is off by about a centimeter. I am also trying to fix mondo leaks due to my "solution" by shortening the street elbows as well as general leaks between fittings. All in all, it will be a while before I work out this problem.

I do have one very good piece of advice for it know. Plan out where and when you are going to glue things together. i spend a while figuring it out and still got it wrong, so be sure to consider everything before gluing.

@Lentamentalisk: If I'm looking at that correctly, is it just a T fitting on the end of the barrel, sticking out of the chamber? We've been discussing that one, but the problem is sealing off the T, unless it gets capped airtight between every shot.

@keep_it_real: That looks interesting, but I'm kind of confused by it and need more details. What exactly is that white piece in there, and what does it do?

Part of my wild idea was to make a bolt that actually attached to the piston, so when the piston went back, it could load a round/seal off the T magazine. I'm still working on that one.

the white thing is just a bolt. when the bolt is back, ammo drops into the bolt. Push the bolt forward and it drops into the barrel.

It doesnt have to be sealed airtight, only fairly well sealed. All of the other models require a 1" barrel or less, due to the sprinkler valve restrictions, and a union of sorts with a gigantic ramrod. This way only takes a screw in end cap, or if you want to get all fancy you could use a nice union too.
