It's the awkward silences and half-mumbled words that make it so amusing :D

The nice thing about the whole surface area being squared, is that the reachable pressure increase increases exponentialy as you decrease in diameter. For example, with a 1/16" piston, using only 12lbs of force you can get up to 1000 psi. That would be an interesting project...

True, but unless you had a tiny tiny tiny chamber it would take you forever. I think 1/8" or 1/4" would be a better compromise.

Or do you go buy one of those markers which has all the print on a plastic sleeve, warm the sleeve up slightly with a hairdryer or boiling water and slide the sleeve over your 3/4 inch copper tubing?

I think this will make an interesting distraction from all the auto talk :) For my next trick, I was thinking of the pneumatic marker gun project - the main failing of the pen gun project was that the barrel was far too tiny. In something like this you can fit a larger barrel (4.5-6mm), larger chamber and maybe even an integral suppressor to complete the covert weapon theme...
When you have kids there always gonna yell at you to stop turning there school supplys into guns :P

You must have a bullet proof pocket protector.
