to meet my expectations it has to go through a can at 15 yards at least 20 times. is this asking to much?

What's your budget? This would do nicely for your purposes, or an Anics Skif if you can find one.

I too have the Anics ( though NOT with the nice homemade silencer JSR made)
It's a great little gun!

Agreed, relatively cheap, more powerful than most semi-auto CO2 pistols (especially if you get your hands on the long barrel version) and that 28 round magazine goes on forever :D

My only complain is that the trigger is a bit too hard for accurate double action shooting, but you can ease this problem with a trigger shoe that spreads out the load over your finger.

The Skif in the US is yours for $130.

Why the Anics guys never made their guns in 9mm beats me.
Those would sell like crazy!

I think for starters I am just going to go walmart and get the http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/model.pl?model_id=321. This will be to try it out and see if I want to get something different. I already have a Crossman 1377 but I hate pumping it all the time.

Looks reasonable and the quoted muzzle velocity is decent, it should serve you well for the price - though build quality will likely be tacky compared to more expensive models.
