This is my latest project, all parts have been bought and some work has began.
It is MkII of my ERG-SSB
http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/silence ... 14438.html
Heres a rough(not to scale;)) drawing I just made up of what it should look like when done
Colours are subject to change
1/2" barrel
2" chamber
silencer
coaxial w/ piston
Future upgrades...
Perhaps remote co2

Progress is underway
looks good, but dont you think the hose in the back would get in the way of your trigger hand?

No, it shouldn't. Lot's of rifles have a thru-grip stock and they feel just fine. Just run the hose through a hole up through the stock for a cleaner look.STHORNE wrote:looks good, but dont you think the hose in the back would get in the way of your trigger hand?
Completed projects:
CA1 SMSS Basic Inline
CA3 PDAB Airburst Cannon
Current Project: Bolt action rifle (25x140mm + 1in shot)

based upon the picture it looks like it would be uncomfortable but I'm sure the actual scale of the parts will be less protruding (no offense frankrede lol).
But i would suggest that you connect the hose to the opposite end of the blow gun and run it flush with the bottom of the stock, that way there isn't anything to worry about in the first place, and if I recall right... a blowgun's performance is the same no mater what side the pressure is being released from.

Although it was stated many times, the hose does look to be a problem. A good alternative that I have seen would to simply use a small ball valve similar to that on the HEAL gun. It seemed to me like it worked well for that purpose, plus you wouldn't have the hose problem on this design.
Otherwise, it looks good. My only other criticism would be that the stock looks a little to boxy for my taste.

I was actually originally planning to do that, but the blow gun has some odd threads at the spout.STHORNE wrote:based upon the picture it looks like it would be uncomfortable but I'm sure the actual scale of the parts will be less protruding (no offense frankrede lol).

I thought about that tooSpudFarm wrote:that looks to be quite impressive.
you should use a husky blowgun imbedded in your stock handle.
will look more like a real rifle trigger.
130 psi and it should be done by wednesday, if not then, thursdayFishBoy wrote:Schweet; when do you expect to finish it, and what pressure will you run it at?

Way to go frankrede! I like it.
Exactly what I was thinking! (Tommy gun)
Do not run the hose to the outlet of the blowgun. The pressure will work against the spring, and could cause/contribute to an accidental discharge (very bad).
I take it you have the 2" stuff or you would be making the chamber smaller in diameter?
