So here is a small little thing I made with a few spare pieces of copper I had laying around. While one of the simplist launchers I have made, it was also one of the toughest to make.

So anyways, there is nothing too special here, nothing that has never been done, but I am proud of my first working coax.

Performance wise, it is nothing spectacular, as to be expected from something of this size. At 400 psi I was able to sink a nail 3/4 an inch into a 2x4. Around 100 psi and I am lucky if the nail sticks.

specs...

valve... coax epoxy cast with a rubber washer. actuated by the schrader.
barrell... 1/4 inch copper around 10 inches long
chabmer... 1/2 inch copper around 9 inches long
everything else... epoxy

Well its small, so that performance isn't bad at all. Plus its shiny so I love it. Maybe hack up a blowgun for a better pilot?

I am actually building a larger version with a blowgun pilot now. the new version is about 4 feet long. has the same size barrel but 3/4 copper pipe for the chamber. it may be a while because I plan on great things for it. This mini was a test run at a coax.

Very nice Jook, an effective use of "spare" materials! :D

I had missed this but it caught my eye in the "random cannon" corner, beautifully made and very similar in terms of construction technique to the small coaxials I like to make, nicely done :)
