It has come to my attention that I should add some technical examples in The Sprinkler Valve. After thinking about this, I think that this is a fantastic idea and will clear up a lot of questions I get on the subject.

But the problem that I'm faced with is finding good technical examples. I've searched and searched, and most of them just seem to be the same layout and configuration. And this is where you guys come in (please).

I would like to get clear images to place in the book. If any images are linked to this thread, please provide the builder's name for the launcher. If there is a launcher already on the site, the link should do.

The following is a list of what I'm looking for. Please feel free to add to it if necessary.

- electrically activated sprinkler valve
- basic modification sprinkler valve
X- anti-siphon sprinkler valveX
- sprinkler valve in inline launcher
- sprinkler valve in over/under launcher
X- sprinkler valve piloting piston valveX
X- sprinkler valve piloting another sprinkler valveX
- sprinkler valve using ball valve / spring loaded ball valve as pilot
- sprinkler valve using blowgun as pilot
- sprinkler valve with hose connected to pilot valve
- sprinkler valve without hose connected to pilot valve
- any sprinkler valves used in not-so-common configurations (such as paintball / airsoft mines, etc)

Once the above criteria are met, I will place the updated version of The Sprinkler Valve in it's appropriate thread. This version will be the final version and will have a complete makeover, taking care of a lot of things and filling in a lot of gaps the previous versions left open.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I can offer these pictures for a unique cannon.
You will get a 1-1/2 inch sprinkler valve with a 1 inch sprinkler pilot that has a blow gun as the trigger pilot valve.

How about the Thumper, it used like a 2.5" metal diaphragm valve with a sprinkler pilot.

dewey - I was looking for that one. I remember it was just about the only one that used a sprinkler valve to pilot a sprinkler valve. Thanks.

Gun Freak - Can you give a link to Thumper?

MrCrowley - Sorry, but I've already chosen the VAL. You just a little too late

My stuff meets more than half of the criteria. Too bad it's all in crappy pics (2meg)... If you still don't have enough pics by this weekend, I'll be able to get high res pics by then... (9meg 8) )

Shameless self promoting, but my bolt action musket falls under the BV actuated SV, so here it is. I would have never been able to make the new diaphragm, or even mod the valve at all with out your help (indirectly through reading your pdf)

Though Thumper is cool, and a classic, but check out the DWVness on that thing. Should we really be using pictures of it to show off to new guys?

I'd say if you use it for reference, be sure to crop that crap out.

Yeah, I did notice. I cropped it to display the valve and pilot only.

Here is a blowgun modded sprinkler valve inline cannon I made... It also has a modded sprinkler valve picture without the hose attatched.
