Hammer Valve Cartridge Concept?

So, for my next design I am in the need of an all inclusive cartridge, projectile, chamber, and filling port all rolled into one.
After brainstorming a few more 'complicated' ideas I decided that for this to be more effective I need it simple so that I can produce them without great difficulty, so then it hit me. How about a design where it is essentially 'just' a valve? so a hammer hits the back of it, chamber opens (no springs involved) and it fires. So in effect the hammer would just simply 'open' the cartridge.
Its hard to explain but I'm hoping you can get the gist of what I'm saying here.

I know that coaxial cartridges have been made and are out there and I have decided there is far too much to go wrong in them, and that they are reliant on (relatively) expensive schrader valves. so I don't want a link fest linking me to the hundreds that are out there.

So please, is there anything out there that has been built on this concept before? amateur or professional alike?
I have drawn up some desgns of my own and can draw them up on the pc and post them but I'm strapped for time at the moment, so that will have to wait until later.

ok u specifically said no coaxial cartridges because the Schrader is expensive, just go to your nearest auto garage and ask, they will give them to you for free most likely.

The one you linked to is to the Brocock design, the above is Michael Saxby's earlier effort that seemed closer to what the OP was describing.
