Have a look in the how to section. Theres a good read about making a hammer valve out of a blowgun, perfect for 22s

How about posting some of your ideas so we can get a better idea of what your thinking?
Wouldn't hurt to showcase some of you prior cannons either...

Thanks
I would like to design my gun to shoot a larger projectile than a .22 possibly a .357 or .25 or.45 I don't want to have an extremely complicated build though because I'm kinda new to all these valves and stuff I know decent amount of stuff though I would like to build something powerful either bolt action loading or magazine fed I was thinking of using a hammer valve or slide valve but I also think It would be under powered so I was thinking of some sort of single shot mechanism maybe a modded sprinkler valve I'm not sure though I would probably use either brake line for a low caliber and conduit or copper for larger calibers I need some opinions on what valve I should use and what ammo would do a lot of damage I would be doing target practice a lot but I like air guns with a lot of power. I wanted to make a semi auto .357 but I think it would be weak with a hammer or slide valve. Opinions?

Well I'm leaning towards making a semi auto .356 I want to either use a hammer valve or slide valve with a we've I would come up with some type of magazine assembly. what valve should I use to get a decent amount of power? The .356 weighs about 105 grains. is that to heavy? I would probably make a air chamber out of 2 or 3 inch copper or galvanized pipe and a Schrader valve
I've heard that slide valves can leave a lot to be desired so I'm leaning towards a hammer valve

Would that slide valve setup be able to shoot a .356 caliber object weighing 105 grains at 300 or more fps
Would an elephant be able to find water in a tree stump if the moon was full?
There's a lot of variables, download GGDT and try modelling it yourself. If you search for "GGDT help" and terms like that, you'll find threads with good advice on how to use GGDT.
If there's anything you're not sure about, feel free to PM me.
