3 inch piston

Everything else is scrap 3" and 4" schedule 40 pipe. Boiled and pressed flat, then trimmed down on a drill press.

Not sure on the weight. Less than a pound though.

so would the equalization holes be drilled into part #2 and 3 ...but not in the rubber..so air can pass out of piston but not back thru?....i just made mine, but wouldnt fire. tho i guess i did have too much gap between piston and inner cylinder. i also have aspring behind piston , which may not give it enuff travel..its like 1'' travel

i saw a design that didnt use o-rings, just the small gap between piston and wall...but mine is too great as the pressure equalizes too quick. good thing it was only out of 2'' and 1''pvc that i had around..no money really spent.

You say FK your mother what btch. Its pneumatic related. Not a how to. This is my piston I am working on, and thought that other people might find somthing usefull, and or give me some input.

I find it hard to get perfectly flat pvc by boiling it. Have you tried to do that befor? When I did this my pvc was roughly flat but a little distorted and warped.

I used a large "C" clamp and two old table saw blades, but it left raised space in the center. I finally found metal cover plates for elecrical boxes that made everything easier. They are four inch by four inch, less than a dollar in any hardware store, and fit really nicely in a pot of boiling water. I will do a how to in a couple of days, with pics. I have blood poisoning at the moment and my wife won't let me do anything.
