it is nice thinking, that design. But the scale where you put the paint in, that wo'nt work, cause the gun will unload it pressurised gass straight up, just blowing away the paint on top of the "barrel". You should make a thick barrel, and put the paint in there. Put in a piece of foam first as wadding.

5 : this is the tricky part : I don't know how you call such a thing in English, but it is used to hang up the laundry, and its is made of wood. In the 2 parts that squeeze together, you put (again, what is the English word ...) something like we call thumbnails (hope you understand) On each thumbnail you connect a electric wire, those red things. One goes toe your sprinkler valve, the other goes to the battery pack. From the battery pack you connect a wire to the valve also, to close the circuit.
In between the thumbnails you put a peace of plastic or wood, attached to the tripwire. When somebody trips it, that thing gets ripped away between the thumbnails, making contact, and firing the gun

I had a similar idea but gave up on the landmine design because I was jsut too scared of something breaking off and flying to hit the target like the little pin or nail....

And yours looks good, try to simplify it a little and it should work good.
