Miniature cannons are novelties made with materials such as bottles or pens.

How about a wireframe model for now!
I shall not doubt... :notworthy: I shall not doubt... :notworthy:

Now that we can see the pengun project is completed...
I'm not sure I want to do that again on the lathe...

:tongue2:

Seriously, step 3 is done... I'm working on the video now.
I will also cross-post in French on Patator, as people showed some interest there. So I'll do my duties and post in my native language for a change!

Is the wireframe model made with autocad? If yes, I would love to see the .dwg file.

The drawings look very nice !
I wonder what the final product would look like :)

That's my main concern :?
With a crappy drawing, I could have said it was all dewey1's fault...

Just for LeMaudit!
He always wants them damn cross sectional viewss
So I must oblige him.

I get about .84mm (.032 inch) difference from your original drawing.

Ah! At last! You managed to sort it out and use the proper tools ;-)

Very nice! The sizes seem to be all right, that's a comfort to me for future machining steps :D
Thanks for the good work!!

.84mm hey? I was not even hoping that good! ;-)

I have the proper tools, just needed to learn all the capabilities and simpler procedures to do the task at hand. You learn something new everyday even when you are an old fart like me!

3D is a little more difficult to do than 2D! At least it is with an old version of autocad. Primitive solids and Boolean functions to create models.

I am quessing it is measurement accumulation errors.

Amazing work Duane, makes one even more eager to see the real thing!

How easily can you move the parts around in the drawing? I'm thinking a 3D animation of the filling and firing cycle...

Most certainly... except me :-D
And I would be happy to include some animation in a possible public YouTube movie.

... so they know how cool it would be as a 3D cutaway animation ;)

My 2D effort is a bit primitive:

What format do you need? bmp, jpg

The only thing right know that I can not move is the Schrader core valve.
I will have to redo the core valve.

It would be a cross sectional 3D which is like a 2D.

LeMaudit; I think thr pin on the fire button is a little to long.
You will find that out when you assemble it. It is always easier to remove material than to add to it.

Here is a sample of what I can offer for doing animations.
I guess I need to know how many positions you need for a reasonable animation.

I even added a projectile for you JSR! :)

Edit: valve core color change, remove blue.

Those alone are enough for a decent animation with some copy pasting ;)

Alas it will have to wait a week, in less than 12 hours I have to be on a plane to Barcelona, more short notice work travel :-/ perhaps the sherline will be here when I arrive, who knows :)
