Piston Filling/Trigger all in one, maybe...

Oakey Dokey Artichokey,
I'm gonna start building my first piston gun after I get all my info right. It is probably going to be a paintball shooter, and I'm planning on making a tee piston like Gort's 'Stinger Valve'. While I was waiting for my Tylenol pm to kick in last night, I thought about using a blowgun to fill and trigger my piston. How would I accomplish this, you ask? Well, I would hook up my compressor to the bottom of the blowgun to fill the chamber, and then disconnect it and pull the trigger to actuate the piston. Now, I'm pretty sure that the filling would work, but I don't know if it would be powerful enough to pull the piston back. If someone could help me correct my mistakes, and I'll be on my way to build this miniature beast-ish gun.

Here is the link to the valve.

If built like mine, a blowgun won't quite do the trick alone. You'll need a 1/4 or 3/8 ball valve. You could use a small QEV inline with the blowgun and piston though.

Also, for your trigger assembly, you could use a tee to split off to a compressor fill and the trigger.

Another way to do this is to just use a ball vlave on the piston with a quick disconnect on it. Fill, close the valve, remove hose, open the valve to fire.

You CAN use a blowgun, but if you want it to open fast, you will need something larger.
Sprinkler, QEV, ballvalve, it all does the job.
For optimal results, use a QEV.
Till the day I'm dieing, I'll keep them spuddies flying, 'cause I can!

Will Gort's 3-way trigger work?

As long as the equalization backflow through the piston is small, my 3-way will work very well.
